The air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat can spell the difference for our Health. In this article, allow me to talk about water. Since the dawn of time water has become the basis for civilization. Water is very important for human life and livelihood. When we say detoxification, water therapy always pops up in our head. The fact of the matter is, water makes our body healthier, our immune system stronger, our digestive system smoother. These are just some benefits of water.

Lack of water in our body can lead to illnesses – from the most mundane, to the most deadly. Dehydration is one deadly consequence from lack of water. When you are dehydrated your body will take action to fill the gap. For example, the body will get its fill of water from your bloodstream. This action will trigger your other organs like the kidney to work overtime. When this happens, your kidney will pass some of burden of detoxification to the liver, and your liver will pass the burden to other organs in your body. It is all a domino effect. That is how important water is to our body.

The minor signs of water deficiency can be irritating. Ailments like skin itching, acne, sinusitis, urinary tract infection, general sluggishness, and general aches and pains. These symptoms may not all be deadly,by all means, but it definitely takes away from your quality of life. So how can you use water to detoxify your body?

It is easy and inexpensive to start water fasting for body detoxification. In fact, it is so easy that all you need to do is avoid eating food or drinking processed beverages. The only essential element in this Diet is pure water. Doing this fast will re-energize organs like your kidney and liver. You can fast for the standard 48 hours, however, some people prefer to fast for about three days.

Getting into water fasting is relatively easy, but there is some things that you need to know before diving into the water head first. You must know that tap water is not recommended. What you need is pure water. This kind of water can be found in bottled packages. If you must use tap water, you need to boil it first and let it cool before using it.

Water fasting is very demanding, so it is not recommended for people who are malnourished, anemic, have heart ailments, or anyone who is suffering from any illness. It goes without saying that you need to consult your doctor or nutritionist before you undergo water fasting. And also bear in mind that fasting for more than 48 hours requires medical assistance.
