Very often, the top movements to lose belly fat are Not the ones that involve small ab movements.

Go figure, right? !

The reason behind this is that waist exercises are simply too tiny a movement to burn any significant calories.

So while millions of well-intended individuals continue to do sit-ups and crunches in pursuit of burning belly fat, I want to save you the effort.

The 1st reason that I do not recommend making sit-ups a part of your belly fat loss program, apart from the undeniable fact that they do not burn belly fat, is that impose a large amount of stress on your lumbar region.

Whenever time you perform a sit-up you are basically wedging the cushioning “pads” between your vertebrae. Over the passage of time this can cause heavy back consequences certainly if you do not have a strong core foundation.

Sit-ups are bad for your back and they will never burn ugly stomach flab. So what are you supposed to do?

Here’s the secret sauce – my best exercises to lose belly fat.

Concentrate on using full body exercises that engage a large amount of muscle. When you do this you necessarily need more muscle to do the work. And when more muscle is involved a bigger requirement for oxygen and calories.

Understanding this is the foundation for any fat loss system.

Here are 2 of my fave and best exercises to lose belly fat:

Push Presses “In a standing position, holding dumbbells at your shoulders, sit your bum back and drop your bodyweight onto your heels (as if doing a regular squat) as you lower down as if about to sit on a chair. Do your best to ensure that you only lower to the point whereby your thighs are parallel to the floor and that your upper body stays tall through the whole motion.

Now, push your feet into the floor to revisit a standing position and use that leg thrust to propel the weights above your head. Lower and repeat. Aim at 2-3 sets of only 5-7 repetitions using heavier dumbbells that you can only lift for the necessary number of reps.

Burpies “Who does not really like burpies, right? Usually, the exercises that are most tiring and uncomfortable are the best ones for us. This isn't an exception.

To do a burpie start from a standing position, then to the floor and perform a push-up. At the top of the push-up, jump your feet in to your chest and jump up off the floor as high as practical. Rinse and repeat. Attempt to do as many possible reps as you can in 30 seconds, and do 2-3 sets.

These are just 2 examples of some of my best exercises to lose belly fat. They may ALWAYS outperform little ab exercises if your goal is to lose fat.
