i weight about 180 pounds and a fast metabolism and i just started my p90x training and my daily calories a day is 1,800 but am still hungry should i eat more complex meal?

Your comment that monosaccharides could practically be injected into our bloodstream because they don’t have to be broken apart, seems to imply that you believe that they raise blood glucose levels more quickly than polysaccharides. Please consider the Glycemic Index, which clearly shows that fructose, a monosaccharide, raises blood sugar more slowly than white bread, a polysaccharide. Obviously, there is more to the metabolism to glucose than just breaking apart the molecules.

Now that I think about it,it would be more fitting that electrons and hydrogen are the flame, since oxygen is just the final acceptor

Metabolism takes place in each and every cell and is carried out by enzymes,or rather chains of enzymes.
Catabolism in particular is the process whereby complex molecules are converted to energy in the form of ATP.
In the production of ATP,oxygen would kind of be the flame you are talking about

wow, i’m honestly impressed. This lady talks like she’s 20 years younger. Women her age usually stutter and forget what their saying in the middle of a sentence. (40-50 yrs old) hmmm…perhaps a degree in advanced nutrition helped?

I’m studying nutrition now. Awesome video. I LIKE HER! A question though exactly where metabolism come from? The ‘flame’ is??? Is it exactly the rate of all chemical reactions in our body or something?

Someone tell me if i’m wrong, but basically… eat carbohydrates ‘cos you can eat more without putting on more but it doesn’t work if you have a sedentary life style. don’t eat too much as it makes to much glucose and glucose makes insulin and if your body gets too used to it and you could develop diabetes….carbohydrates give you energy so would be great for growing teenagers especially if they’re taking part in sporting activitys and the elderly?someone correct me if im wrong; its 4 an exam:)
